1) Breathe

And not just in through the nose and out through the mouth (which serves to warm up the air before it hits your larynx) – but really just breathe! 2) Relax

In the same vein as remembering to breathe away the tension – relax! There’s no need to stress or fret about how your audition is going to go. If you find pre-audition anxiety to be creeping up on you, perhaps prepare yourself with a few go-to strategies to re-center your mind. Maybe prepare a yoga routine and practice it in the days leading up to the audition. Go for run on the morning of. Or, put on a favourite tuneĀ and shake it off!

3) Remember How Much You Love To Sing!

This is perhaps the best advice anyone can give you: remember why you are auditioning in the first place – because you love to sing! Singing makes you feel good and remembering that positive sensation will cause you to shine in your audition. In the days leading up to it, practice singing your favourite songs around the house or with friends just to get in tune with your love of the process!
