Victoria Buchy, Executive Director

Originally from Sudbury, ON, Victoria completed her studies in Music Administration at Western University and started her career in sales, managing subscription and membership campaigns for various arts and cultural clients including the Royal Ontario Museum and Mirvish Productions. Victoria went on to production and special event management as Director of Operations for three Glenn Gould Prizes (Dr. Jose Antonio Abreu, 2009; Leonard Cohen, 2011; Robert Lepage, 2013) with The Glenn Gould Foundation.  In 2015, she joined the Toronto Children’s Chorus as Executive Director and oversees all administrative operations for Canada’s premier treble choir. She has had the special privilege of touring with the Chorus’ Chamber Choir to Russia, the Baltics and Poland (2015); Boston and New York (2016) and most recently, to Spain for the 11th World Symposium on Choral Music (2017). Beyond the arts world and her continuing private studies in voice, Victoria is passionate about finding innovative ways to challenge perspectives on resource management, ownership and consumption. She is a founding member of the Toronto Tool Library and served on the organization’s Board of Directors for four years (Institute for a Resource-Based Economy). Her favourite zero-waste items are her Stojo collapsible coffee cup and Abeego reusable wrap.
