Coming Together in Song - TCC Chamber Choir joined by Slovenian and Bulgarian youth choirs for workshops and concert

January 27th, 2025

On Friday, February 7, the Chamber Choir of Toronto Children’s Chorus (TCC) will be joined by two internationally-acclaimed visiting youth choirs for a musical exchange, concluding with a concert open to all.

The visiting choirs are the St. Stanislav Youth Choir from Ljubljana, Slovenia, conducted by Damijan Močnik, and the Bulgarian Children's Choir "Orpheus" from  Haskovo, Bulgaria, conducted by Elena Cvetkova.

This is a reunion for TCC Chamber Choir with singers from the and St. Stanislav Institution. Last July, TCC Chamber toured Slovenia and performed with the St. Stanislav Girls' Choir from St. Stanislav's Institution. They now welcome another choir from the Institution, the St. Stanislav Youth Choir, to Toronto

During the afternoon, TCC Artistic Director Zimfira Poloz will work with both visiting choirs.

In the evening, at 6:30 pm, TCC Chamber Choir, St. Stanislav Youth Choir, and the Bulgarian Children's Choir will share their music with each other, and with Torontonians, with each choir performing a short set of music.
