Songs of the Season | December 15, 2024

This past Sunday, December 15, the TCC returned to @roythomsonhall for its annual holiday concert tradition: Songs of the Season! It was a truly special evening, bringing together so many talented artists to celebrate the season. We were thrilled to feature the young voices from our Training Choirs and Main Choir, and the joy of hearing our audience join in for the sing-along carols was truly unforgettable.

We are incredibly grateful to the many people who made this event possible, from our Artistic Director Zimfira Poloz (@polozzimfira), to our dedicated conductors and collaborative pianists, to organist Shawn Grenke and percussionist Gregory Harrison (@instagrej), whose talents enriched the performance. The stunning voice of bass-baritone Owen Phillipson (@owenphillipson), the elegant choreography of dancers Elizabeth Kalashnikova (@liza.kalashnikova.dancer) and Dominic Who (@whodominic), and the rich sounds of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (@the_tsyo) all blended seamlessly with the voices of over 250 choristers to create a truly magical experience.

Even before the concert began, our Alumni Choir, under the direction of Dr. Darryl Edwards (@drdared), filled the lobby with the warmth of festive carols, setting the tone for the afternoon ahead.
